February 27th: We’re planning a social event to take place at the Versant Power Astronomy Center’s Maynard Jordan Planetarium at the UMaine campus in Orono on Friday, February 27 at 7-8 pm. Tickets can be purchased here. If there is a large enough group of us, we may elect to grab dinner or catch happy hour beforehand.

Discover what it feels like to touch the universe, what a comet or cosmic space smells like, and even how Saturn’s moon Enceladus or the planet Mars taste like. Listen to the explosion of a supernova, the rumbling sounds of the Sun, and more. See the glow of auroras and vibrant nebulae. This unconventional sensory-packed show is narrated by Jack Stephens.

Please mark your calendars and of course go ahead and purchase your ticket if you would like to attend with us!

Where:              Versant Power Astronomy Center, 167 Rangeley Rd, Orono, ME 04469
